4. Kick box installation instructions. 13, Positioning of island carcases . For ‘U’ shaped kitchens, temporarily position & join up all base carcases . 14 Positioning of adjoining island kick boxes . Temporarily fix base carcases to kick boxes ensuring that the front of the carcase over hangs the front of the kick face 50mm less kick face thickness. Check the dishwasher space and the distance between the carcases is parallel. Pic15, Final placement of the island kick box. Temporarily fit & place laminate bench tops to the kitchen giving the bench top an overhang of 35mm from the front of the base carcases to the front edge of the bench top ensuring that the joins are firmly pushed together. To achieve this you may need to adjust the position of the island carcases & kick boxes. The measurement between the bench tops should be parallel. ‘Note’ Although this appears to be time consuming you will be assured that the island carcases will be in the correct position when you come to put the bench tops on.
